The Shing Mun Country Park Visitor Centre has completed renovation and reopened on 1 November 2025. To celebrate this special occasion, the visitor centre will host two special public guided tours on 15 and 16 November, guiding participants through the visitor centre's newly renovated exhibits and along the Pineapple Dam Nature Trail to explore the historical changes of Shing Mun Country Park, nearby hiking trails and seasonal highlights. Participants can also learn about the diverse habitats as well as flora and fauna in the area. Please refer to the follow table for details.:

Application Guidelines:

  1. The enrolment period is from 12:00, 5 November 2025 to 23:59, 9 November 2025.
  2. Applicants can only apply for one session. Each applicant can reserve up to two quotas. Each email can only be registered once.
  3. Participants aged below 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
  4. Participants should apply for activities base on their physical ability.
  5. If the number of applications exceeds the quota for each session, places will be allocated by balloting.
  6. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email within three working days after the application deadline. Applicants who do not receive a confirmation email will be placed on the waiting list.
  7. If places are available, successful applicant on the waiting list will receive a notification email at least two days before the activity.
  8. Unsuccessful applicants will not receive any email.
  9. Please treasure education resources. If you are unable to attend a confirmed tour, please inform us as soon as possible by email at nature@afcd.gov.hk.
  10. For participants who fail to attend the activity without a prior notice, their application on future activities may be affected.
