“Excursion with Paintbrush” Country Parks Drawing Competition

Country Parks Drawing Competition PosterHong Kong, despite being so small, has awe-inspiring and valuable natural landscapes. One is never far away from natural settings and beguiling trails in country parks. In the viewpoints, you could appreciate this hustle and bustling city from a different perspective. The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department organises this Country Parks Drawing Competition, Art Jamming Class as well as the associated online workshop, to inspire students' creativity. Students could manifest the enthralling wild side of the city through their artworks. All entries will be publicized on different platforms, and everyone will have a chance to appreciate the scenic vista at home through the paintbrush of the students.

    Paint and create your work on the illustration provided or create your own masterpiece.

Dimensions of Works:

Child-parent Group: Print and work on the illustration on A4 or A3 paper/ or presented on a drawing paper of size 380mm X 295mm (+/-10% is accepted). 
Other Categories: The work should be presented on a drawing paper of size 380mm X 295mm (+/-10% is accepted). 


Presentation Methods:

The work must be original. The format could be sketch, watercolor painting, acrylic painting, pastel painting, ink painting, color pencil drawing, oil painting, or any works made with any paint or made by collage.


Submission Methods and Location:

The work together with the enrolment form should be submitted by hand or by post to the following place.

Results Announcement:

Results will be announced on the Nature In Touch website in mid-February 2022. Winners will be notified through email.

Terms and Condition:

1. Participant should agree by his/her parent/guardian/teacher in taking part in the competition, whereas the parent/guardian/teacher understand and abide by the terms set by the organiser.

2. The work must be original. The format of the work could be sketch, watercolour painting, acrylic painting, pastel painting, ink painting, colour pencil drawing, oil painting, or any works made with any paint or made by collage.

3. Work that has been awarded in any past competitions will not be accepted.

4. Works submitted for this Competition will not be returned.

5. The work should be presented on a drawing paper of size 380mm X 295mm (+/- 10% is accepted). Works in Child-parent Group can be printed and worked on the illustration on A4 or A3 paper / or presented on a drawing paper of size 380mm X 295mm (+/- 10% is accepted).

6. Each participant can submit more than one work. Late submission will not be considered.

7.The “Details of Applicant” should adhere to the back of the work and submit together with the enrolment form by hand or by post to “Room 1026, 10/F, Block D, East Sun Industrial Centre, Shing Yip Street 16, Kwun Tong, Kowloon” on or before 14th January 2022. Please quote on the envelop “Excursion with Paintbrush Country Parks Drawing Competition”, and the submission date is according to the postmark.

8. The organiser shall not be responsible for all postal entries in case of mis-delivered.

9. Participants must agree that the organiser reserves the rights of reproduce, use, modify, exhibit, publish and distribute the submitted entries for the use in relation to promote education, country parks, and related activities.

10. The organiser has the right to disqualify any prize winners with any reason after result announcement.

11. The organiser has the right to alter all the terms and conditions without prior notice.

12. Once the enrolment form is signed by the parent / guardian / teacher of the participant, the participant agrees to abide by the terms, conditions and rules, to release the organiser, unconditionally, any legal liability for publishing his or her works submitted and undertakes all compensation to the organiser any loss caused by breaching of rules in his or her part.

13. All rights are reserved by the organiser.


Online Workshop:

The organiser will organise an online workshop to let students learn more about country parks. Art teachers will share with you the experience and technique of landscape drawing.
